
For more than 35 years, Marguerite(Peg) Cornwell has built bridges between education, community, and service.Until June 2025, she served as Associate to the President for College and Community Relations at Rollins College, where she advanced the college’s mission through programs that united the campus, civic leaders, and the greater Orlando community. Each year, she hosted more than 120 events at the President’s residence and strengthened relationships among trustees, parents, and community partners.
Prior to Rollins, Peg served as Associate to the President for Community, Trustee, and Parent Relations at The College of Wooster, where she founded the 250-member Parents Leadership Council to engage families in development, admissions, and student support initiatives. Earlier, at St. Lawrence University, she directed the Leadership Academy and Office of Career Planning, creating nationally recognized student leadership and career programs that earned multiple Presidential Awards of Excellence.
Peg began her career in business as an Assistant Vice President at Chemical Bank in Chicago, serving Fortune 500 clients in the food and pharmaceutical industries before transitioning to higher education.
Her community leadership includes serving on boards for Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida (Chair,2022–2024), Winter Park Day Nursery, Victory Cup Initiative, WMFE/NPR Orlando, and the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce, among others.
She has been widely recognized for her impact, including receiving the Rollins College Decoration of Honor, Thaddeus Seymour Staff Award for Community Engagement, the Lydia Gardner Citizens of the Year Award, and an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Rollins College.
A lifelong advocate for education, service, and human connection, Peg embodies the spirit of leadership through compassion and community.
