Ken Walsh joins World Youth Clubs in January 2026 as President and CEO
World Youth Clubs is pleased to announce the appointment of Ken Walsh as our incoming President & CEO, beginning January 2026. Ken brings more than four decades of transformative leadership in youth services. He began his career in 1985 with the Boys & Girls Clubs of New Rochelle, New York, before moving to Maine in 1992 where he has served as Executive Director of the Alfond Youth & Community Center (AYCC), the only merged Boys & Girls Club and YMCA in the United States. Over the course of his tenure, Ken helped raise over $100 million, transforming the AYCC into a nationally recognized model for youth development, community engagement, and innovative programming.
Ken championed global connections collaborating with organizations worldwide, making a lasting impact on youth development including launching a satellite Boys & Girls Club in China. His leadership efforts opened the door for youth from China and Mexico to travel to the United States for summer programs joining youth from the AYCC.
Susan Porcaro Goings, WYC Chairman of the Board said, “As an avid supporter of World Youth Clubs’ mission, Ken has already connected WYC with new Affiliates. He brings a deep commitment to youth development, a strong global perspective, and the leadership experience needed to drive World Youth Clubs forward.”
